“Europe at Home” aims to join different Europe

“Europe at Home” aims to join different European cities that are struggling the Covid-19 pandemic and bring an artistic perspective on this particular moment in our history that is being lived “at home”. The project carried out by Faro – European Capital of Culture 2027 Candidate City.

During the early 2021 lockdown in Ireland, 30 Galway 2020 Wave Makers took part in a photo project - the 5K Perspective - guided by Galway-based photographer Avi Ratnayake. The aim of the project was to capture the environment available to us within the 5KM limit, a restricted space yet one that can harness creativity.

Once some restrictions were lifted, they hosted a public exhibition in Galway city centre with the printed version of the 30 pictures.
